The Pie Factory recently celebrated its fourth anniversary as a Greater Manchester office space option, having been redeveloped from its former incarnation as just the kind of manufacturing site its name suggests.
Argosy is aiming to take advantage of its location in a purpose-built media hub, MediaCityUK, developed by the Peel Group, which has been behind the majority of developments in the Salford Quays area.
Some of Britain’s biggest broadcasters are actively preparing to switch their operations to MediaCityUK, and tens of thousands of square feet of office space are steadily being occupied across the site.
Bob Clark, sales director for Argosy, said: “We are happy to be opening a new facility at MediaCityUK, as it plays an increasingly important role within the growth of the UK’s television and broadcast industry.
“By supplying locally held stock at The Pie Factory, we will provide an enhanced service and support to existing and new customers throughout the region.”
The Pie Factory was one of the first buildings completed as part of the overhaul of much of the Salford Quays area, and it accommodates a variety of studio spaces as well as offices available for rent.
The Peel Group’s regeneration initiatives span the northwest of England and include some of the most expansive development projects ever undertaken in the region, with billions of pounds set to be spent over the next few decades.
Editor’s notes: The Pie Factory closed in 2020 and was subsequently demolished in preparation for Phase 2 of Peel’s and its development partners’ regeneration of the 37-acre Salford Quays scheme.
In May 2023, Argosy UK listed Ridgeway Drakes Drive in Long Crendon, Buckinghamshire, as its address on its website.
