The Cardiff council is seeking investors to help build a new business and financial district in the centre of Wales’ capital city.
Dubbed the Cardiff Business District, the plans include the creation of over four million square feet of Grade A office space in the city. As well as office space there is also talk of building a convention centre on the site.

The planners want to use a 140-acre site for the project, from Cardiff bus station to the Callaghan Square office development.
Between them Cardiff council and the Welsh government have set aside GBP 60 million for the project.
Cardiff council leader Rodney Berman was quoted in Walesonline as saying: “Our plans for the Central Business District will provide businesses from the professional and financial services sector with the type of environment they are looking for.
“While our main selling points are our connectivity with London, our impressive skills base, quality of life and can-do attitude, there’s no doubt that businesses locating in Cardiff’s new Central Business District will be able to operate far more cost effectively than their competitors in London and the South East of England.
“Cardiff is already the powerhouse of the Welsh economy and I believe this is something that will help Wales compete with the rest of the UK.”
And Richard Thomas, Managing Director of Cardiff & Co, the outfit in charge of promoting Cardiff all over the globe, said that promoting Cardiff in Lond was a “key priority”.
He added that many major investors from both the UK and Europe are based in London, making the English capital an important city to promote Cardiff in.
