Argosy will move into 330 square feet of warehousing and office space in The Pie Factory in MediaCityUK.
Bob Clark, Sales Director at Argosy said, “We are happy to be opening a new facility at MediaCityUK, as it plays an increasingly important role within the growth of the UK’s television and broadcast industry.
“By supplying locally held stock at The Pie Factory, we will provide an enhanced service and support to existing and new customers throughout the region”.
Currently, 25 other media companies also have facilities in the refurbished building.
Stephen Wild, Director of Real Estate for MediaCityUK added: “We are delighted to welcome Argosy to the ever-growing community here at the Pie Factory, MediaCityUK. They join a great blend of creative companies, and we believe they will be a great addition to the thriving media hub we’re creating here on Salford Quays.”
As the name suggests, The Pie Factory was once a food production line, but in 2007 was completely renovated and transformed into one of the most well-equipped buildings in MediaCity.
Developed by Peel Media, The Pie Factory now boasts three sound stages, the largest of which is 6,800 square feet, as well as a range of office space, a costume department, make-up rooms and dressing rooms.
MediaCityUK is a 200-acre development located in Salford Quays, Greater Manchester. Once the project is finished, its main occupant will be the BBC in its 12,500-square-metre BBC Centre.
Following the closing of Salford Docks in 1982, the area was renamed Salford Quays and became one of the largest urban regeneration developments in northern England.
