A 15-year agreement has seen the company commit to offices at 1 The Avenue in Manchester’s Spinningfields complex, a well-known site now home to a growing number of international finance groups and law firms.
Brewin Dolphin’s commitment is being celebrated by Spinningfields’ developer Allied London and brings the 1 The Avenue to full capacity, Place North West reports.
“Spinningfields offers a dynamic environment and Brewin Dolphin will quickly feel part of the community and benefit from everything the estate has to offer,” Allied London’s chief executive Michael Ingall is quoted as saying.
“Elsewhere on the estate, we are attracting a lot of interest and the number of commercial organisations we have welcomed is now well in excess of 50.”
Development at Spinningfields began in the early 2000s and turned an area of brownfield land into one of the most sought-after locations for office space in Manchester.
In addition to its Grade A offices, the development incorporates several restaurants, bars and a gym, and plays host to various events and attractions like the ice rink that is set to be re-established there in November.
Brewin Dolphin has roughly £25 billion worth of assets under management and it has offices in cities throughout the UK. It recently announced its plan to move to a larger area of office space in Cardiff after saying it had seen significant business growth in the Welsh capital.
Editor’s notes: As of July 2023, Brewin Dolphin had over 30 offices across the UK, Channel Islands and the Republic of Ireland.
At that time, 1 The Avenue was listed as the firm’s Manchester office and Two Central Square was listed as its Cardiff office.
