See Offices for Rent in Manchester
Founded in 1961 in Manchester, the company counts the manufacturing giant Brother and the Weir Group, a FTSE 100 engineering business, among its current clients. Its Manchester office space switch will see its 50-strong workforce move from Bank House on Faulkner Street to 7,000 sq ft of space at 196 Deansgate.
Citypress’ relocation is expected to be completed in March 2013. Its soon-to-be-occupied offices on Deansgate were revamped as part of Project Tomorrow, an ongoing investment effort aiming to link up 20 separate office locations around Manchester through some of the latest communication technologies.
“Manchester has been the home of the business for over 50 years, and we’re proud to be making a commitment to continue expanding here,” said Charles Tatterall, managing director of Citypress, in a statement.
“With Media City, The Sharp Project and Project Tomorrow, it’s an ideal location for a growing media business like ours, providing the infrastructure, reputation and access to talent that we need,” he said.
The Sharp Project is a scheme with 50 or so digital content-producing companies of various sizes operating out of 200,000 sq ft of office space in Manchester at a site once used as a Sharp electronics warehouse.
MediaCityUK, meanwhile, is one of the UK’s largest mixed-use development endeavours, focused on establishing Salford Quays and Greater Manchester as an internationally recognised hub for media industries.
In addition to its base in Manchester, Citypress has offices in London, Birmingham and Edinburgh.
