Plans are in place for around 600 of the firm’s permanent staff to start operating entirely from a single office space site in the Salford Quays area, which will be its headquarters for the foreseeable future.
The Midlands-based regeneration experts at St Modwen Properties have been enlisted to carry out the necessary development work at the earmarked site along Moseley Road on the Salford side of Trafford Park.
“Think Money is currently split over a number of buildings in the Salford Quays area,” explained the company’s finance chief, Simon Kay. “This new development will enable us to bring all our staff together on one purpose-built site. It will also give us room to accommodate our future growth plans.”
The campus to be developed for Think Money’s purposes will incorporate roughly 125,000 sq ft of office space at the Greater Manchester site. Founded in 1993 primarily as a debt management consultancy, Think Money has established a strong position in the UK as a provider of financial products and advice. Its customer base now numbers in excess of 100,000.
Salford Quays has seen thousands of square feet of office space added to its stock in recent years as the area has become the focus of a massive regeneration initiative led by the Peel Group. The MediaCityUK development, now home to the BBC and media businesses, is perhaps the most high-profile element of the more comprehensive project.
Editor’s notes: As of July 2024, Think Money listed its Greater Manchester office address as Think Park, Mosley Road, Trafford Park, Manchester, M17 1FQ on its website.
