The company, based in Cheshire, is best known for producing the popular TV show Most Haunted.
Karl Beattie, Head of Production at Antix, said: “The BBC’s move up north has been the foundation for one of the biggest changes in television and the centre of that change is MediaCityUK. Keeping Northern talent up north and enticing Southern talent to this rich area of television production and creativity is quickly destroying the prejudice against anything outside the M25.
“The Greenhouse is rapidly becoming a hotbed of creative talent and a great choice for media professionals who are serious about programme making.”
She added that The Greenhouse is “on the doorstep of the BBC and ITV” and that the move provided “a great opportunity” for the production company.
Stephen Wild, Managing Director of MediaCity UK, said he was ‘thrilled’ that Antix was moving into The Greenhouse, and that since the building opened, it has “attracted a diverse mix of media-related businesses that have all opted to be part of the growing community.”
Already occupying The Greenhouse are Dreamscope Productions, Libra Television, and Humanoid Productions, among others.
Editor’s notes: As of July 2023, The Greenhouse no longer exists at Media City UK and has made way for a wide range of other workspaces for a whole host of companies in diverse sectors.
At the same time, Antix Productions was no longer based at Salford Quays but was still trading and had its registered office in Stockport, which is in the same county as Salford Quays, Greater Manchester.
Former Blue Peter presenter Yvette Fielding and Karl Beattie founded the television production company in 2001. The company has produced shows for broadcasters such as Living and ITV in the UK and Travel Channel in the United States. Antix Production’s output also includes successful shows such as Most Haunted.
As of September 2026, Antix Productions was based on Reddish Road in Stockport.
In March 2026, it was reported that production and distribution company BIG Media had renewed its distribution agreement with Antix Productions for the hit paranormal investigation series Most Haunted.
BIG Media would continue to represent the global distribution rights to Most Haunted, including the upcoming Seasons 28 and 29, which were currently in production.
